How to Look After Your Motorcycle Riding Jeans: Keep Them Performing Ride After Ride.

When looking after your motorcycle riding denim, a little care goes a long way in keeping them comfortable, protective, and looking sharp. Whether you ride daily or just on weekends, looking after your denim is quick, easy, and makes a noticeable difference every time you gear up.

Riding jeans don’t need to be washed after every ride. If your jeans are not heavily soiled or smell bad, then it is best to not machine wash them. Every wash breaks down the fibres of the abrasion-resistant technology. If you have a small stain, instead of completely washing your jeans, we recommend you spot clean your jeans.

Washing YOUR RIDING JEANS:
  • Check the care instructions label on the inside of the jeans
  • Take the armour out before washing
  • Turn the jeans inside out to protect the outer fabric and any additional coating
  • Use low heat to avoid shrinking and fading
  • Use a gentle cycle to help the jeans keep their shape
  • Choose a mild detergent and avoid bleach, enzymes or fabric softners, as these can weaken protective features and fibres
  • Avoid overloading the machine to reduce friction and prevent unnecessary wear

Drying YOUR RIDING JEANS:

  • Air dry naturally, do not tumble-dry
  • Dry them hung inside out, it'll help keep their shape and colour for longer
  • Don’t dry on a radiator: It’ll warp fibres and ruin the fit
  • Iron on low heat

Spot Clean YOUR RIDING JEANS:

  • Dab with a damp cloth
  • Add a tiny bit of mild soap to the stain
  • If the stain is particularly stubborn, let the soap sit for a few minutes, then gently brush the area to loosen it
  • Rinse
  • Repeat if needed
  • Dry as mentioned above
